HCWA Youth Deer Hunt General Information for 2019:

Step 1:  Applications can be found on hcwa.com website or may be picked up at Cubihatcha Outdoor Center in person on Monday – Friday between 8:00am – 4:00 pm starting on Monday, June 3rd, 2019.

Step 2:  Fill out application. Information provided will serve as contact information about the hunt so please print neatly and use accurate information. Make copy of driver’s license or water bill as proof of Henry Co. residency.

Step 3: Return application with proof of qualifications by email to jeffrey.scott@hcwa.com or suzanne.earls@hcwa.com fax to 678 583-2106.     You may also bring applications to Cubihatcha Outdoor Center in person with proof of qualifications during the following dates/times ONLY!:

Monday – Friday June 3rd – August 23rd   8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Drawing will be held at Cubihatcha Outdoor Center on Tuesday August 27th at 10:00am

Important information for those applicants who are drawn for the hunt:

 1.   It is mandatory that all applicants who are drawn for the Oct. 12th Youth Shotgun Deer hunt must call 678-583-3930 on or before Monday, October 7th between 8:00am – 4:00pm to confirm their spot. If drawn for October 26th Youth Shotgun Deer Hunt please call on or before Monday, October 21st between 8:00am – 4:00 pm to confirm spot.

2.   It is mandatory that all applicants who are drawn for either Youth Deer hunt attend an orientation meeting at HCWA LAS Building, 570 River Road, McDonough, Ga. 30252 at 6:00 pm the Friday before hunt.  Meeting will take place at the River Road LAS Building.

 3.   All blinds will be provided; however, applicants are responsible for providing all other hunting equipment (shotgun, ammo, chairs, camo, etc.), and should bring these materials and be prepared the day of hunt.  HCWA staff will transport hunters to and from their hunting locations. Hunters are responsible for removing all trash and materials immediately after the hunt.
