ESTABLISHING NEW SERVICE
To establish new water and sewer (if applicable) service, please call 770-957-6659, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Deposits paid by 3:00PM will be turned on the following business day.
Most applications can be completed over the phone. You are certainly welcome to come in person to our business office at 1695 Highway 20 West in McDonough and speak with a Customer Service Representative; however, it may be best to phone in first to find out if any additional documents are needed, such as a copy of a lease, verification of ID, etc.
All residential customers are required to pay a security deposit in the amount of $100 for water and $100 for sewer (if applicable). An additional deposit could be required based on past payment history. Security deposits will be applied to your residential account after 24 consecutive on-time payments, or when the account is terminated.
Commercial deposits are based on the projected monthly consumption and will be quoted in the office or by calling Customer Service at 770 957 6659.
To protect the interior of your home or business from water damage, please check to make sure that all indoor faucets, including the connection to the washing machine, and the connection to the icemaker for your refrigerator, are turned off before service is connected. Any water damage to your property as a result of the water service being turned on at the meter is the responsibility of the property owner. If you are uncertain whether all water connections are turned off, we recommend that you be present when the Water Authority technician turns on your water service.
