HCWA Youth Deer Hunt General Information for 2022:

Step 1:  Applications can be found on the hcwa.com website or may be picked up at Cubihatcha Outdoor Center in person on Monday – Friday between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm starting on Monday, July 11th, 2022.

Step 2:  Fill out an application. Information provided will serve as contact information about the hunt so please print neatly and use accurate information. Make a copy of your driver’s license or water bill as proof of Henry Co. residency.

Step 3: Return the application with proof of qualifications by email to jeffrey.scott@hcwa.com or suzanne.earls@hcwa.com

You may also bring applications to Cubihatcha Outdoor Center in person with proof of qualifications during the following dates/times ONLY!  

Monday through Friday, July 11th – September 16th, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Drawing will be held at the Cubihatcha Outdoor Education Center on Tuesday, September 20th at 10:00 am

Important information for those applicants who are drawn for the hunt:

All event activities will operate under the current HCWA and/or CDC Covid-19 Guidelines.

1.   It is mandatory that all applicants drawn for the Oct. 22nd Youth Shotgun Deer hunt must call 678-583-3930 on or before Monday, October 17th between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm to confirm their spot. If drawn for November 5th Youth Shotgun Deer Hunt please call on or before Monday, October 31st between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm to confirm your spot.

2.   It is mandatory that all applicants drawn for either Youth Deer hunt attend an orientation meeting at HCWA LAS Building, 570 River Road, McDonough, Ga. 30252 at 6:00 pm the Friday before the hunt. 

             3.   All blinds will be provided; however, applicants are responsible for providing all other hunting equipment (shotgun, ammo, chairs, camo, etc.), and should bring these materials and be prepared on the day of the hunt.  HCWA staff will transport hunters to and from their hunting locations.

HCWA reserves the right to cancel/revise this event at any time.
